Kaspersky completes relocation of data processing and data storage, announced in November 2018

Kaspersky completed the relocation of cyberthreat-related data storage and processing from users in the EU, Canada, and the United States to Switzerland. In addition to these locations, Kaspersky also transferred data storage and processing for a number of countries in the Asia-Pacific region. The list of Asia-Pacific countries that were part of the GTI move includes Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.Customer data related to threats and shared by users based in these locations began being processed in two data centers in Zurich, Switzerland. These included suspicious or previously unknown malicious files that the company's products sent to the Kaspersky Security Network (KSN) for automated malware analysis.
